So more on the whole custody thing SilverWarder Send a noteboard - 26/05/2010 03:42:21 PM
This would be hilarious if it weren't so sad.

Apparently my soon to be ex wife is more math challenged than I thought.

Amy is running around telling people (and she clearly believes this because she's telling ME it) that she is the 'primary caregiver' and 'does 90% of looking after Melissa'. I'm pretty sure she's likely told her lawyer this.

Here's the thing:

7 days in the week x 24 hours in the day = 168 hours in the week.

Now, I normally pick Melissa up sometime between 5 and 6 on Friday night and bring her back on Monday morning between 7 and 8. Doing that math:

6 hours Friday night

24 hours Saturday

24 hours Sunday

7 hours Monday Morning = 61 Hours

I also fairly commonly take Melly for one night during the week:

6 hours Wednesday night

7 hours Thursday morning = 13 hours

Now if we add those two together, we get 74 hours.

168/2 (half of all the hours in the week) = 84 hours.

Hmmm. 90% eh? Looks to me like I'm doing 44% out of a possible 50% and I work full time with a long commute.

The lady's reality cheque has clearly bounced.

May God stand between you and harm in all the empty places you must walk.
