Cut it off and make her get a job.


Melissa spends a lot of time there. If I cut her off, Melissa suffers.

My daughter doesn't suffer. Not on my watch. Not even if I have to starve myself. (Finances have been tight enough that I've lost about 12 pounds since this started, mostly through not eating/not buying food).

As a secondary reason, I've been advised that legally continuing to take the high road and support her even without requirement or court order looks very good if things go to a judge later.

It's secondary, but it's there.
