It's ridiculous. Same thing with agriculture. We had a professor in one of our animal science courses point blank say "if you're here as a production animal science major, you are wasting your time." (most production asi majors are just going home to work on family ranches or similar jobs). He's not saying they shouldn't be educated, but they can learn EVERYTHING they need to know in a couple years of a certificate-type course, rather than all the bullshit extra stuff colleges make you learn and PAY for.
