So far they haven't cured me of my job, but they've lessened the symptoms - I lost my overtime :( Still, we've lost some good people this week, and more folks are supposed to get sent home next week. My boss keeps telling me that I'm safe, but things are very fluid.


That sounds stressful. Sorry.
I hope things start looking up soon. Stability is good.

Sorry I'm so late with this... I know I said I was getting off early (and I did!) but I kept busy all day until now. Renewed my driver's license, bought new tires for my truck, took a short trip to Scottsboro to the best store in the world and got some clothes, had a dance lesson & then went to do some West Coast Swing & Salsa until about an hour ago. Busy day...


I get exhausted just hearing about it. :P

What have you been up to?


Well, I'm officially nearing the end of my PhD. I am half-way through the third year. Or, I don't know that it is me nearing the end so much as the end looming ever closer. Creepy end.

Since I am not teaching in the summer I have time to focus on it, which is nice and exhausting at once.

Jazz festival is coming up in a couple of weeks, and boyfriend arriving to stay until then on Sunday. So I'm happy. Happiness is aided by rarely reading the news. Actually, that last bit isn't true. I procrastinate. And that entails checking headlines. But I am selective about the news.
