Surely there's some way to keep them from returning. At worst, you can always tie millstones around their necks and toss them off the boat that is taking them back to wherever and just say they vanished.


They would be deported on conviction, generally. They hold Romanian/Bulgarian/Czech/Polish passports and are technically allowed freedom of movement whether they're criminals or not. So they get hoofed back to where they're from and trot right on over again and theres nada to do about it, apparently.

They tried to claim political asylum but you can't claim that if you're from an EU country.

EDIT: I should also add that Romanian and Bulgarian nationals are allowed 90 days in this country before they have to either leave or be accepted as asylum seekers. The majority of the deportations so far have been approved because people overstayed their 90 days.
