For one, I don't think wearing a shirt that says "Islam is of the Devil" is wrong or hurtful. From my perspective, it's correct and informative. If Muslims are offended, they should probably lobby their governments to actually step in and stop the killing of Christians, because then I would ahve no reason to wear the shirt.
I am not even catholic but I would find a shirt saying something about priests molesting children as offensive and wrong. I just can't justify tarring and feathering a whole group of people based on the actions of a few. Most priests are good men that have dedicated their lives to serving God and their fellow men. Should the whole church be judged because of the actions of a minority?
The argument that you just made about the "Islam is of the Devil" shirt not being wrong or hurtful but rather correct and informative could easily be made to defend people that wanted to wear anti-catholic shirts. They could say something very similar to what you said to defend their actions. Would that be right? Would it be fair?
I don't buy the argument. Judging and condemning a whole group based on the actions of a minority just doesn't seem right to me. Does it seem right to you? Doesn't seeing it from their perspective make you reconsider your position just a little?
I am not trying to get into an ugly argument or make fun of you. I don't roll like that. (Well not usually.
) I just would like to present a things from a different view point so that you can see what other people are talking about. I am just searching for the right way to present it.
