This is starting to sound more and more like Soviet Russia and less and less like America.

That is the most ridiculous comparison I have ever heard. There are a probably a million reasons why this is silly, but the number one argument would probably be uniforms. There have always been rules for schoolchildren, and this is definitely not the strangest. Almost anything that disrupts their ability to learn and is reasonably left at home is usually able to be regulated.


Well my child is being disrupted from learning as well, seeing as they've been kicked out of school. So that argument goes both ways.

Just as any child can't wear a shirt saying something about "niggers," they shouldn't be able to wear something attacking another religion. Do whatever you want on your own time, but be prepared to be thought an asshole. You should never subject your children or other people's children to as much of this as could be avoided.


For one, I don't have children. For two, and let me state this clearly: CRITICIZING ISLAM IS NOT THE SAME AS MAKING A RACIAL SLUR. MUSLIMS ARE NOT AN ETHNIC OR RACIAL GROUP. BEING A MUSLIM IS A CHOICE, BEING BLACK, WHITE, JEWISH (ETHNICALLY) ECT. IS NOT. Therefore, wearing a shirt that says "niggers" has absolutely nothing to do with wearing a shirt that critices Islam. Period.
