Hmmm... not sure if I should reply Helene Send a noteboard - 06/08/2010 10:57:10 AM
1. How do you flirt?

I only flirt with my fiance. I give him a lot of compliments. I say sweet thing to him. I touch him.

Otherwise, I don't. At least, not consciously. I do make jokes and smile, but flirting requires (at least, in my book) an ulterior motive of actually showing a romantic of sexual interest in the other person, which I try to avoid.

2. Are you good at flirting?

I think I'm not good at flirting without giving the impression that I'm actually interested.

3. What are your best flirting tips?

Don't talk about yourself too much, keep the topic light, smile, but mostly also just be yourself.

4. Can you know if someone likes you in "that" way?

Being in an age group where all the good looking guys are taken (including my fiance, but then by me), I try to avoid noticing such things. I don't care to fall in love with someone else. And I can't respect a guy in a committed relationship who'd fall for me.

5. How can you know if it's love and not just a crush?

Time. Love takes time. Crushes can turn into love.

6. Are you brave when it comes to these things?

I've never had an issue finding relationships. Nor have I had an issue breaking up, most of the time. I am not afraid to get hurt, as getting hurt is part of life. It will happen, so why not live in the way that gives the most chance for happiness?

7. How would you handle a crush/ or if in love with someone who is already a friend not to destroy the friendship?

The one time I fell in love with a friend, it did end up destroying the friendship. Another time when a friend fell in love with me, we ended up still being great friends. It really depends on the situation and mutual expectations. These things happen. Let the chips fall where they may.

8. Do you think flirting is a lot different if the person of your "crush" is of the same sex?

Yes, in the sense that I don't know how to act toward women in a romantic/flirty way. It's very easy when it comes to men. But essentially, it's not different, as in that all people like compliments and someone showing an interest in them.

9. Can you be friends with someone after you have admitted having a crush on them and they don't feel the same?

Yes, it's possible. But it depends on the circumstances and the other person.
