It does feel better knowing someone else is in the same situation! I hope everything works out for the best with you and your girlfriend. I really know that it can be awfully shitty sometimes. Indian/Pakistani people are over-concerned with too many things, lol. They need to just lighten up!

I take it your girlfriend is Muslim? I guess that adds the extra dimension of religion into your situation. I'm Christian, as is my boyfriend, but my parents are still the same old-fashioned types who want their kids to be with Indian people of the parents' choosing. Gah! It's really shitty...
