They have the right but that doesn't make it a good idea.
How is that hard to understand?
How is that hard to understand?
Willful intent?

I dunno, I got to thinking about it last night and it really does seem these days that both sides automatically oppose anything from the other without bothering to first check if it's a good idea, maybe even one that's been in their own partys PLATFORM for decades, simply because they assume anything from the other side is contrary to their interests. Which is so narrow mindedly stupid it's a wonder the country's even still around; after all, both Democrats and Republicans are committed to the nations best interest, so naturally anything a Republican proposes in that interest MUST be opposed by all Democrats (and vice versa. ) We can't have universal healthcare because it's a goal of the evil socialist Dems. We can't have a military that deters foreign attacks because that's a goal of the evil imperialist Republicans. God help us all (if helping the needy doesn't offend the right and God doesn't offend the left too much) because we've apparently forgotten how to help ourselves.

Once again, listen to the Economist and don't use abbreviations that aren't obvious.

That abbreviation was obvious and all over the place at the time the incident happened.

I certainly don't remember seeing it anywhere. The abbreviation was unnecessary in any event.
