In my experience, people tend to somehow find the money for the things that they want the most. Normally by doing without something else. Or many something else's. The problems start when they start pissing and moaning about why circumstances make them have to make such horrible choices instead of being able to have it all.

It's a good point: Deciding to have my right arm partially out of its socket for 15 years because I couldn't find a doctor who took food stamps was foolish; my bad. :[
