I am well aware that in your eyes the only possible action China can pursue in any case is the most evil possible. However, those of us who prefer to reside in reality view their actions in a somewhat more rational light. I daresay that I'm just as familiar with Chinese policy as you are--perhaps significantly more, considering several of my grades depend on it.
It turns out that China doesn't have the strong religious motivations agains homosexuality that the vast majority of the signers do. I doubt their one-child policy is the reason. I wondered what their motivation was: whether it was political, cultural, or something else besides. Unfortunately, "BECAUSE THEY'RE EVIL" is not valid reasoning in the real world.

As noted, the difference is we don't execute people for it, nor condone those who do.
