People don't have to buy cars (and thus insurance). ObamaCare mandates that everyone purchases of HC insurance. Very different.
That's because not everyone will drive, if you don't drive there is no point to insurance, everyone will use the health care system at some point. The concepts to why it exist are the same to reduce the overall cost.
