Many highly paid lawyers also volunteer for the public defense system on a rotation to give back to the justice system and the community. I do not care to look it up and verify it is her but I did hear that the courts were looking at the person who defended Timothy McVeigh and requesting that that attorney take the case. Maybe they think she can provide the best defense for the man given her past experience.
