He blamed Palin for the slander attacks launched against her. Said she had basically brought on herself because she is so polarizing. That is blaming the victim. You are trying to claim Palin is blaming the victim when Palin in no way implied the victim’s actions were responsible for the intact on them.

I believe he simly said he saw why the connection was made; be careful, if you post that that makes him a liberal he may accuse YOU of libel. Since he's a lawyer his opinion of whether the libel charge carries more weight with me than the "Christian values" former PTA president whose daughter dropped out of HS to have a baby out of wedlock (and, yes, when she campaigns on family values and came up from the PTA both of those facts are relevant to her leadership competence).
