I just don't let it blind me to how much they've choked since Jimmy Johnson left town; it's a running joke in the League that they have tons of talent but consistently refuse to do anything with that. That they sucked for such huge stretches of time (like the a generation after the great '30s teams, and another after Lombardis) just tells me they've been around a very long time. Like the Giants, Redskins and Eagles; sure, Dallas is a "new" team compared to the others, but I'd say the NFC East has a pretty good history of its own; again, their inability to compete with the Giants and Eagles, along with the Bears, was a primary reason the Packers successfully pushed for a draft.

But, yes, I'm capable of supporting Dallas, Denver, Houston and Minnesota at the same time; unless they're playing each other it's not a problem, and it's even theoretically possible for all of them to get a first round playoff bye. Though that's pretty much the opposite of what happened this year: Dallas picks #12 next year, IIRC, and everyone else picks higher than that; meanwhile, the post season almost looks like they admitted teams based on how much I hate them. The only surprise is that they somehow overlooked the '9ers, Browns and Bengals.
