You can't argue for rule of law only when you like the law. He used to children to make sexually explicit material and if a court rules that material to be porn then it is porn. I doubt he will receive the max penalty and until he does it is silly to argue about that. As for sex offender registry I think it is badly abused and needs to be reformed. There is no reason to believe he is a sexual predator and that should be required to place you on the list. I don't have a problem with him being barred from working with children though.
