Actually people have Isaac Send a noteboard - 16/03/2011 04:31:37 PM
They are undeniably a small number of lunatics and I don't hold groups accountable for those, anymore then I did when Danny Glover blamed the Earthquake in Haiti on it, but under the 'Never Let a Good Crisis Go To Waste' theory a lot of people have already started pressing anti-nuclear agendas, those people are certainly fair game, as are others who will use this tragedy to feed their own political goals.

Despite Limbaughs claiming otherwise for the sake of questions he ludicrously calls "legitimate". The EESC President merely called for global solidarity, and noted in passing that climate change is another case where this is advisable,

Its a short official statement, nothing in it is 'in passing'

since the tsunamis impact on some islands has been exacerbated (but not CAUSED) by global warming. While American conservatism and internationalism have never gotten on well, the formers case against the latter should be made without raising questions illegitimately based on invented facts. Speaking of invented facts, I was rather disappointed to see Huckabee quoted in the marquee at the link saying, in regard to the President, that most of us grew up going to boy scout meetings rather than madrasas. I'd have thought that beneath him (Huckabee, I mean) and regret that it seemingly isn't.

Tangent, not interested in Huckabee, bring it up elsewhere, it's unrelated and I've asked you to try to avoid tangents with me, you know it leaves me either having to defend whatever it is and going into a Joel-Isaac fifty page dialogue or I have ignore it and let you score some point.

You need to reread what I said - 16/03/2011 10:49:45 PM 762 Views
No, I think you're still missing my point - 16/03/2011 11:09:04 PM 851 Views
Perhaps - 16/03/2011 11:26:37 PM 908 Views

Seriously, you need to pick a better example to make your point - 18/03/2011 05:00:10 PM 768 Views
No. You don't get to say, "what he said doesn't matter because of how we learned of it". - 16/03/2011 11:54:46 PM 820 Views
I told you, I'm done in this thread - 16/03/2011 11:59:08 PM 744 Views
Acknowledged (though I'd not seen that response yet, sorry). - 17/03/2011 12:11:58 AM 803 Views
I think Republicans should stop using "legitimate". I do not think it means what they think it means - 16/03/2011 04:11:14 PM 922 Views
there are enough carzies on the left to make things like this easy for Rush - 16/03/2011 04:20:47 PM 831 Views
So it doesn't matter that no one said it as long as he can plausibly claim they did. - 16/03/2011 06:58:17 PM 757 Views
well since it is taken out of context it is hard to say where Rush was going with it - 16/03/2011 07:19:46 PM 843 Views
Um... he stated where he was going with it. - 16/03/2011 07:30:02 PM 824 Views
At least you are not ashamed to use a double standard - 16/03/2011 08:17:39 PM 766 Views
It's the same standard, whatever you choose to believe. - 16/03/2011 09:08:01 PM 878 Views
I don't thinkit is as clear as you make it out to be - 16/03/2011 09:31:53 PM 778 Views
It is not just "possible" he's talking about islands affected by global warming; he says it outright - 16/03/2011 10:09:16 PM 949 Views
Sorry but I still fail to see how the islands he mention are a sign of what needs to be done - 16/03/2011 10:27:20 PM 820 Views
Hey, guys! - 16/03/2011 10:55:07 PM 721 Views
and how its that different than what I said? *NM* - 16/03/2011 11:14:46 PM 330 Views
Then you don't understand context and this whole discussion is pointless. - 16/03/2011 11:28:47 PM 895 Views
lets throw a little context at asnd see if it matters - 17/03/2011 12:12:03 AM 791 Views
Yes: It makes it worse. - 17/03/2011 12:45:12 AM 778 Views
