In fact I was listening to Terry Gross at lunch today. I just think that have a liberal slant and need to add some conservative voices to their echo chamber. If they can not find some balance they shouldn't receive public funding. I do think they have great reporting and interesting shows even if the do slant left though.

I know I am cynical but if it is damned if you do and damned if you don't then do whatever you think is best. It is kind of liberating to be hated no matter what you do. I do get sick of this idea that America should be going out of its way to keep other countries happy. How many people in Europe worry about going out of their way to keep us happy? The countries in the Middle East that we are supposed to walk on eggshells to keep from offending have state sponsored death to America rallies. I should be worried about how they feel? But what really gets me is the argument that doing anything to offend the Muslim world only helps recruit terrorist. First off I don't really believe that our actions are that much of factor and the people who want to whip them into frenzy will always find story to do it with. If the Muslim world can not keep from rioting every time someone offends them then maybe they should be focusing on fixing that instead of pandering to it. If your idea of a fun way to spend the afternoon is burning my flag do ask me to respect your sensibilities.
