I assume you're implying time travel between past-life or future-life experiences.

E.g., reawakened memories. Because I can't think of any other situation in which I'd call whatever is happening reincarnation (rather than merely two unique individuals having similar personalities).
Wait, no, it would have to go beyond even that, because I can easily imagine having someone else's memories implanted in my brain without that other person being me.
For me to accept the soul is reincarnated, the experiences of the other life would have to be so integrated with my own -- making me who I experience myself to be -- that I'd feel responsible for anything done in that past or future life. This would lead to hope and suffering.
Simplified, my "belief" in God is based on three factors: 1) I hope for a great, personal good. 2) I believe a liberal interpretation of the Christian God, should he exist, will best satisfy that hope. 3) I believe that, because of the pragmatic good it does, I ethically should possess such hope.
As such, reincarnation as I've described wouldn't really change my beliefs about God. Rather, it would change the scope of my relationship to him.

You assume we all know, and agree on, what "soul" means.

It is what hope, which is a thing with feathers, perches on.

But seriously, what does it do?

it wouldn't change much for me, but I'm pretty flexible in my spiritual beliefs

I'm a Christian who is partial to reincarnation, so I do not think much would change.
