You are taking this a little to literally. The point I was making was that science proving something as unscientific as a soul would cause me to question everything I know about science. I find it as unlikely that science will prove souls exist and can be passed on as I do that a bunny rabbit hides decorated eggs for children to find. Souls are matter of faith not a matter of science.
It is similar to asking what would happen if science proved the earth really was only 6000 years old. I doubt I would be the only one whose faith in science would be shaken but something like that.

I must join the ladies in asking: Why? I mean, what's your alternative, really, if it's rigorously verified? It would simply mean that the best science up to that point was wrong in a big way, but there's nothing new about that (just ask Galileo). Science is self correcting, and when it self corrects on something far reaching and fundamental, that only underscores its merits rather than eroding them. Rigidly defined areas of doubt and uncertainty, and all that.
