They sound very similar. Similarly irritating to the ear. Not quite as irritating as Cantonese, which may quite possibly be the most unpleasant language in the world (as much because no one seems to be able to speak QUIETLY in Cantonese as that it has so many abrupt stops), but irritating nonetheless. Northeast Asian languages are much easier on the ear, and I haven't really had any negative reactions to Thai or Vietnamese.
But my point doesn't really require me to, that I can see - if Indo-European languages can sound so wildly different, even closely-related ones like Portuguese and French, then why shouldn't the Austronesian ones? Even if Tagalog is a lot closer to the Bahasa's than I thought, or if they sound alike at least, I still don't see why it'd be odd that the three of them sound very different from Hawaiian.

"Muckefuck" sounds to me like "Schmutzenficken" sounds to you.

Moockefoock, though with short "oo"s. I'm guessing it's more the spelling that's funny. *NM*

Sort of like "book" for both "u"s and with a short "uh" sound for the "e".

I think that works because the languages are similar but distinct

I think some of my funniest foreign words would have to be Norwegian, as well.

Well, Norwegian is closer to Dutch than Swedish and Danish are.

I always grimace a little when I hear "pupsik". Always sounds like "poopsicle" to me.
