That conversation demostrates quite a bit of immaturity on both a personal and spiritual level. So actually, very in line with those who initially go to Master's Commission. </pet peeve>
Yes. My last girlfriend...wow...years ago...didn't read regular books (novels).
Reading is a big piece of my life. They don't have to be into the same types of books that I am. They don't have to even be into fiction. I wouldn't even mind if she was a big Twilight/Sookie Stackhouse/easy reading type of book fan. Whatever...the idea of sharing a book experience is very appealing to me, and something that I do want in a relationship.
Very much so. I am rarely in complete silence. There is always music playing in the background for me. And here's a little something wierd...I don't listen to Christian music pretty much at all. Definately no contemporary Christian music. The only stuff that would get close would be Gregorian Chant stuff from the Eastern Orthodox (which is way old) or some instrumental hymn music (piano, strings, or orchestral...no voice). When Christmas comes around, I may have The Messiah playing in the background...but definately no contemporary stuff.
The last date I went on, within the first 10 minutes, she said "I want a baby within the next 2 years." She also proceeded to text her friends the entire time, after being 20 minutes late.
I have no idea...but if I find out, I'll let you know.

1. Have you ever dated someone who doesn't read?
Yes. My last girlfriend...wow...years ago...didn't read regular books (novels).
2. Is reading important enough to you that you wouldn't date someone because they didn't read?

3. Do you think music is fundamental enough to your life that it would factor into who you dated?
Very much so. I am rarely in complete silence. There is always music playing in the background for me. And here's a little something wierd...I don't listen to Christian music pretty much at all. 4. Have you been on any dates lately?
The last date I went on, within the first 10 minutes, she said "I want a baby within the next 2 years." She also proceeded to text her friends the entire time, after being 20 minutes late.
5. Where would you suggest a book lover find... a lover?
I have no idea...but if I find out, I'll let you know.

Being picky about books is very different from insisting that there be some books.

I thought you handled it rather well. Looking for someone compatible does not make you a snob.
