The point is that why would you tell someone you don't read? If you're not an avid reader, why would reading even be on your radar as a way to define yourself? Even by saying you don't read much? Imo, he's given us a big clue to who he is. But, again, that's just my first impression. I'm usually pretty good with them too, but you're free to disagree.
