Instead of trying to look intelligent, by putting the greek in the subject box...instead could could have said Logos or Word. And even after that, you could have referenced the verse (John 1:1 if memory serves me correctly). You could have also put some more into your explanation, since your viewpoints are anything but consistent with contemporary Christian thought.
I could have, but then my Greek keyboard would feel even more unloved than it does now. There's absolutely no reason to type "logos" instead of ?????; it's like typing "raison d'etre" instead of "raison d'être." And "Word" is a horrifically limited translation of ?????--so much so that I like to use it to showcase just how bad English translations of the Bible generally are.
As for being consistent with contemporary Christian thought, they're not the mainstream, no, but you'd probably be surprised to see who agrees with me. I'm certainly not alone in my thoughts; I know Frank Griswold is rather closer to my opinion than yours (on account of having spoken to him), and he's been a mildly influential Christian.
That's especially true when in this very post you speak of being somewhat universalist (which Christ isn't), you focus on this world and not the next (when Christ doesn't), and you have no emphasis on preaching the salvation message of Jesus Christ (which was the point of Jesus coming to earth in the first place).
I must admit, your confidence in your knowledge of the nature of God is very impressive.
As such, you didn't answer my question. Why hold to the title of Christian, when your beliefs are so non-Christ like. Is Jesus the priority and cornerstone to your faith? Is He *everything* when it comes to what you believe? Is He the *only* way?

We've had our rough moments, but He and I get along pretty well. It turns out that we have a lot in common. Among other things, we both really enjoy messing with Pharisees.
