they are horrid, it's true. but there are women elsewhere who are like that, not just from ca, so there you go. transplants to ca have that problem as well. it's usually women going into their 50s/menopause losing their youth feeling very insecure about everything and lashing out because they fear their own pending insignificance. they are the women who bitterly tell you their "feedback" while pretending to be nice. those women who own dogs can particularly awful.

there are 2 seasons where i live, and it does snow in a few places in ca. i grew up with 4 seasons and was born in a blizzard. i don't miss it. it doesn't matter in the end how many seasons there are, to me. besides if i want snow, i can just drive north....

the mud is a little ridiculous for the dogs. :P keeping the house clean in winter is basically impossible.
