He said he realized he needed to release it after the GOP and him started battling over some of the biggest changes in government in decades and all anyone on the news was discussing was his birth certificate. I wish he had released it two years ago but I can't object to his rationalization for doing it now and I applaud him for trying to kill this issue. I doubt it will shut up everyone but nothing will do that and I do think after a day or two of chatter it should kill the issue from most news channels.
