With Purrgus the Pirate Cat. He is actually a huge feral cat that we've tricked into believing that he is a house cat - my father caught it and was going to drown it as a kitten, but my son (all of 4 years old at the time) told us all off and we ended up coming home with the danged thing.
He has cost me so many thousands of dollars over the past couple of years due to his outdoor shenanigans the most recent being a very badly broken pelvis. The vet insisted he be kept in a cage for 6 weeks to allow it to heal (to keep him from jumping) but he ate his way out. No, I am not kidding. So we compromised with him by merely keeping him locked inside. This still didn't keep him happy - he insisted on peeing tremendous amounts over everything. One bedroom is a total disaster zone and is now unliveable, and if he was feeling particularly nasty he would pee over your bed under the covers so you would get a nasty surprise at night. He also set about trying to eat me and the dog at this time, attacking us in the middle of the night and then going to the toilet just outside his litter box as if to say "yeah, cop that you cruel people!".
We compromised again - I unlock the doggy door, he doesn't attack us. He was so happy to be allowed out that he brought a rat back inside to play with. Gee, thanks. However I have woken up this morning to find he's sprayed the Wii, which due to my career area of Geek I have been able to clean down but sheesh!
