-2.5 on both eyes by now. started out with -0.5 twelve years ago

That's quite a bit better than my eye sight. I think I remember when my eyes had that correction. It's not that bad, right?

it's okay. I don't walk into things with it, but as I said, it sucks when you can't tell if the person approach is someone you know or not. and it gets worse in the dark.

yeah if it was very cheap. then again I may change my mind once I think about getting a laser into my eyes some more.

Would you really feel comfortable paying a very low amount for getting your eyes lasered? I'd think that your confidence level in the result would drop.

cheap things don't always have to be low quality ;) the point is: once technology reached the level that it's no big (or expensive) deal anymore to get it done. I wouldn't fly to a dark alley doc in Istanbul to save a few thousand Euros at this point :P
