There is a rule. It is a standardly accepted rule. You are aware of the rule. You are intentionally breaking the rule, but your intent doesn't matter. You're wrong. That you don't agree with the rule and don't like the rule and can explain to anyone who will listen why the rule shouldn't be a rule doesn't change that. Obviously you're okay being wrong, and that's your prerogative. But you're still wrong.
