Here, I'm using football to refer to football (soccer), American football, Canadian football, Australian Rules football, rugby league and rugby union (the main types of football as defined by Wikipedia). Of these, three have world cups that New Zealand competes in - football, rugby league, and rugby union.
New Zealand are the current world champions in rugby league and rugby union. Also, they were the only undefeated team at the most recent football world cup, in South Africa. They also hold the OFC Nations Cup (Oceania Football Association). No other country comes close to matching these results.
Not bad for a nation of 4.4 million people.

Yes, the only two teams that can realistically threaten this position are Australia and England
