Not to downplay your awesomely uncanny coincidence... Avendesora Send a noteboard - 20/12/2011 01:19:33 PM
I am not a superstitious person. Coincidences are fun when they happen for me, but generally murphy's law is a spiraling cloud over my head. Well, just at work usually. Mostly it's with hiring staff, having my staff be healthy so they can show up at work on a daily basis... Car trouble plagues them. (decent cars too-so I know it's me. And I know it's real car trouble because half the time I end up picking them up or whatever so I have proof.)

Every time I say, "things should start to calm down next week." or "this week my schedule is open. I can get a head start on new projects." or "this will be a relaxing week, I think I'll clean my office."

BOOM! After the last word leaves my lips I can practically feel the stars realigning. :P. I think "oh shit. Why did I say that?!"

Someone quits, breaks a leg, totals their car, a family member ends up in the hospital, etc. Of course this happens when my backup people are out of town at a conference and can't help out. This year it has probably ruined my plans for Christmas, and the week of vacation I planned to take next week.

WHY did I have to open my mouth?!

:banghead:
*MySmiley*

I believe all news and research that supports my opinion, and dismiss the rest as conspiracy and lies.

You're answering a different point to the one I was addressing. - 19/12/2011 04:01:54 PM 925 Views
For atheism to be a tenable position, one must assume that millions lie about their experiences. - 20/12/2011 04:11:53 AM 1017 Views
Look, doesn't this go against your most sacred principle? - 20/12/2011 06:43:27 AM 976 Views
