How would one enforce it? Are they watching to make sure you don't eat any raw eggs?

(I imagine it's probably something like, restaurants can't serve things that have raw egg in them, but the idea of egg police is delightful.)

I've only had serious food poisoning once. I'm not sure what exactly it was, but I picked it up from some chicken. It made my guts and stomach cramp up so painfully it felt like I was dying, but I was able to get to the toilet and use my finger down my throat to induce vomiting nine full times until my stomach was empty and the pain vanished. I then executed a graceful about-face and the entire other half of me emptied itself into the toilet as well, in one tremendous whoosh. With my internal plumbing thus entirely flushed of substance, I determined via scientific experimentation that it takes approximately 18 hours for food to work its way through my empty digestive system.
