"anybody but obama" is not a winning strategy moondog Send a noteboard - 14/03/2012 02:28:23 PM
Romney is up against Obama in the recent ABC and Rasmussen polls. Oil hits $5 a gallon, consumer confidence crashes, 80% of folks don't think things has gotten better under Obama (another recent poll), etc.

So yes, Romney can win. I don't think the other 3 main R candidates have a chance, but Romney is a good, normal, mainstream candidate. You may not like him, he may be a "typical pol", but at the end of the day, he's a reasonable choice and will not scare away any voters that are tired of Obama's BS.

"anybody but bush" did not work in 2004 and the similar strategy will not work in 2012. at the end of the day, people are not hateful of obama and will not vote against him as much as you and other repbulicans are hoping for. there is no doubt he has lost some of his base since 2008 but i am not seeing evidence that this will be his downfall.
