It might be true in some situations, but it's a weak argument against this issue.

I can certainly see why you fear flaming, but no. No. I'm not going to flame you.Because I see exactly what you're getting at here. With only one exception, every problem I've ever had in a job situation has been connected to an insecure woman. Or a woman who forgot that she graduated high school and couldn't leave her pom poms at home.
I really don't know how I feel about the whole idea. I'm just glad that I don't have to tackle that nasty can of worms.

Since the military already has groups of women functioning together (often in cramped, difficult conditions), it seems to me like they've gotten over that hurdle. I suspect the very nature of military training would do a lot to iron out such problems (both the insecurity and the pettiness). In any case, I don't think putting them underwater would change things much.

It's interesting what you ladies are discussing though... I guess I've just not been exposed to enough comparable situations, but it's not something I can remember witnessing. No real cat-fights among my coworkers or my HS friends, and my current friends are really anti-drama people.

As I understand it, there are very good reasons why they don't let women on submarines.

Your comparison to segregation is idiotic. I won't even give such a stupid claim a second thought. *NM*
