by passing laws which limit the power of unions, the republicans are hoping that means less money for dem candidates next election cycle. yeah, sure, if you don't want to be part of a union you shouldn't be forced to join, but let's all stop pretending that creating "right to work" states is somehow helping workers at any level in any industry. these "right to work" laws are nothing more than republicans trying to curtail one of the democrats' strongest political bases, and an attempt to give more power to company executives. any argument against the existence of unions is just rationalization to cover for this fact.
