Your point being? Killing people is whole point of guns. Cannoli Send a noteboard - 07/02/2013 12:02:24 AM
i know this topic has been exhaustively discussed here, but i thought this was something worth sharing as a means of putting something more concrete into the discussion.

Slate magazine has released an interactive map of all of the gun deaths in the US since the killings in Newtown. keep in mind this webpage is only linking homicides, i haven't seen any suicides in their map other than murder-suicides, but i also have not gone through all 1600+ links to test this theory. i find it interesting that since december 14th of last year, every state has had at least one gun related death except for north dakota. i guess the positive news to come out of this is that we are down from our usual average of 40-ish gun deaths per day in 2012, but the year is still fresh....

The winter has been worse. Not as many people going outside, and therefore, not meeting as many other people.

And this is all pointless. The number of dead people from a particular method has absolutely zero significance. What is important is who they were and why they were killed. Most of the time, those would probably have happened without the guns anyway. The only significance of your post is to prove how easily people are impressed by numbers and pictures.

And by the way, if there are that many murders going on, we should start rolling back the gun "control" laws, so that law-abiding people have better chances to defend themselves.
