You just EXACTLY quoted the point I was making MrFarstrider Send a noteboard - 20/07/2013 06:04:25 PM

All of the things that you quoted just said "these are the things that define my (the President's) life. These are things I've experienced and define me like Trayvon Martin and not the mass of white people who innocently racially profile and are also my constituents."

Like I said, I am NOT going to be naive and assume that the President can't define himself based off of his experiences. Its impossible to tell somebody that they can't feel a certain way. But what is to be expected is for somebody like the President, a leader of all Americans and the Free World, to not vocalize these personal definitions that say I represent these people but I think these other people are bad because of their skin color and the actions they do. It provides a racial divide from the most powerful man on Earth. His comment empower racial tensions and divide more than anybody else can.

The important thing for him to do is to remain neutral, support his justice system, encourage the free speech of people who don't agree with the outcome, and emphasize that free speech stays peaceful.

Yeah. As someone who voted for Obama and would do so again, this is embarrassing. - 20/07/2013 10:10:53 AM 691 Views
Ditto. Except I didn't vote for him a second time. - 21/07/2013 01:34:54 AM 796 Views
