and here is the big picture, in a nutshell moondog Send a noteboard - 10/10/2013 12:26:18 AM

once again, because i'm sure you missed it twice now: because of the government shutdown my company is missing out on money we are owed for the work we are doing because the people who give us our payments are furloughed. forcing the federal apparatus to shut down because john boehner won't stand up to the fringe of the House tea-hadists is causing actual harm to more than just myself, but he's too proud (or cowardly) to allow Dems to help get through this. i shouldn't have to worry about my career being in jeopardy because of the antics of a small but rabid minority of the House republican caucus. either bring the Senate CR to committee or pass a bill that the Senate can work with. don't pass a bill doomed to fail, drag your feet until the clock runs out, then try to deflect blame when people rightly hold you responsible for the chaos you've caused.

give a coherent reason for the shutdown and the label of economic terrorist will go away - 07/10/2013 08:11:27 PM 922 Views

i guess i should have put the disclaimer you asked for so you would know to be offended, is that it? - 07/10/2013 10:49:43 PM 787 Views
It's pretty fucking sad any of us think we need a reason to act civilly, courtesy is its own reward *NM* - 08/10/2013 07:50:00 AM 473 Views
So you mean I shouldn't call you "an uncle fucking horsefucker" then? - 08/10/2013 09:04:06 AM 737 Views
That's correct Larry, that would be unproductive - 08/10/2013 04:04:39 PM 818 Views
Of course it would; I rarely use such words toward people who might be still involved in a convo - 09/10/2013 08:39:22 AM 731 Views

hey, i've given plenty of reasonable alternatives, i don't see why you can't compromise with me *NM* - 08/10/2013 10:09:44 PM 400 Views
Compromises? You've called my party terrorists and made it clear it wasn't hyperbole in your eyes - 08/10/2013 10:23:05 PM 811 Views

remember that time when the Dems shut down the government to stop the iraq war? oh wait.... - 09/10/2013 12:42:53 AM 797 Views
Probably a bad analogy pick, many of the Dem-initiated shutdowns were over defense spending - 09/10/2013 01:11:38 AM 714 Views
ok, henceforth instead of terrorists i will use "tea-hadists". is that more to your liking? - 09/10/2013 10:26:36 PM 920 Views
No. Overdue, insincere, and half-assed attempts at marginal courtesy is not 'to my liking' - 09/10/2013 10:40:57 PM 776 Views
