Funy but seem to remeber that blow hard Barney Franks doing exacataly that while blocking banking reform. Of course that didn't stop him from ranting mindlessly and fact free about how it was all Bush's fault. You can apply most of that to the POTUS as well. Of course it easy to play the "Bush did it" game whrn the press just gets tingly legs and nod along without every asking any silly questions like what Bush did htat cause the crash.
