I deliberately made no comment on the possible motives or actions behind why the figures are different; I simply stated that they are different, and that, on a per-capita basis, black people are killed by cops twice as often as white people. Of course it makes sense, as I said above, that if black people commit twice as many crimes, then such an outcome is to be expected. But that wasn't what I was trying to say.

The statistics in Cannoli's subject line, devoid of context or further clarification, are dangerously misleading. I simply sought to highlight that, and provide the clarification.
