it's availability of services. The long wait times for digital imaging services in Canada is driven by the simple fact that we have far more such available hardware than they do in Canada.

To illustrate, I went to my primary care doctor last summer for persistent pain, tingling and numbness in my left shoulder. I was sent for x-rays and a CT scan that same day. I had an MRI three days later. Within a weeks time I had a diagnosis of brachial nerve irritation due to arthritic bone spurs in the cervical spine and a recommendation that it be treated without surgery until absolutely necessary.

Inn Canada, per a report by the Fraser Institute in November of 2016, "Canadians could expect to wait 3.7 weeks for a computed tomography (CT) scan, 11.1 weeks for a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan, and 4.0 weeks for an ultrasound."
