Appalled, maybe, in the sense that profound stupidity in public is appalling. Amused, definitely, as once again someone forgets the maxim that when in a hole one should stop digging. But offended, no. Not at all.

Not to defend Spicer or anything, but if you're in a deep hole and there's no one to help you out of it, digging is pretty much the only way to get out. Just don't dig... you know... down.

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
