Which is probably why there's so much controversy in Sweden Dragonsworn Send a noteboard - 20/10/2009 06:22:30 PM
People in Sweden aware of the ingredients in Pandemrix pointed out that in USA the research into squalene was far ahead of that in europe and that there was in USA greater worry over side effects.
I didn't know it wasn't allowed in US accines.

Is there any explanation why?

Also the amount of Thiomersal allowed to be used in vaccines is higher in Europe than in US. In USA there is as I've understood a greater fear for side effects. Thiomersal is forbidden to be used in fluids for contact lenses in Sweden though. Because it's made from quicksilver and can possibly cause blindness
