Public schools must just be a pit of sin for those folks. A list of books my kids have read through the school include:
Bridge to Terabethia - includes the traumatic death of a child.
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl - I think you know how that one ends
Something Wicked This Way Comes - deals with the supernatural
Romeo and Juliet - everyone dies
Stranger In A Strange Land - holy triumvirate here of sex, death, and religion
Dune - death and religion
Maus I&II - a happy concentration camp story.
Of Mice and Men - in case you forgot, Lenny is too rough and his brother just wants him to turn around.
In German class they watched Run Lola Run last year.
Granted, Stranger, Dune, and Maus II were elective reads but were on the list of choices and I had to sign a permission slip for my 15 YO to see a rated R movie in school. But not a single kid from the German class did not have permission.
And don't get me started on the sex-ed videos. The "This is what *insert STD here* looks like" series is just downright nasty.
And I live in a suburb that votes 90% Republican in the middle of Ohio. The stick shoved up the ass of each of the people on your board must have been placed there by the hand of God itself.

Yeah. Those are all books that kids would normally have access to. The Nazis banned a lot of books too. So obviously Banning Lewis Ranch Charter School = Nazis.
Makin' sweet love to CMBs since 2001.
Remember how I told you about that local charter school banning Shakespeare?

I'm kinda curious how we don't see it as lying to them.

Many, many people see lying to children as a perfectly legitimate technique.

Maybe you should get Philip Glass to present a non-denominational, unoffensive school play.
