Well I don't really need to worry about it much SilverWarder Send a noteboard - 12/11/2009 04:40:11 PM
And thirdly...its sad, actually very sad, that you take something such as hell so glibly.

Given that 'hell' is a medieval Catholic creation and not in original scripture at all, I don't honestly need to worry about going there - it doesn't exist.

The original terminology is 'The wages of sin is death' (not hell - the original hebrew term was golgotha or some such which just means dead).

And as to being glib, it comes down to this - if there is a higher being and he/she/it is as petty as you describe, I would want nothing whatsoever to do with him/her/it.

I'll just live my life as best I can and try and do good where and when I can. If there is a hereafter and that ain't good enough, then I wouldn't want to be there anyway as I'd find it insufferably stuffy and pretentious.
May God stand between you and harm in all the empty places you must walk.

Do you think Christ would "present the salvation message" or do you think he would just live it? everynametaken - 10/11/2009 06:21:30 PM 993 Views
Funny....I remember Christ both living His message, as well as preaching Jeordam - 10/11/2009 07:16:12 PM 1013 Views
