And thirdly...its sad, actually very sad, that you take something such as hell so glibly.


Given that 'hell' is a medieval Catholic creation and not in original scripture at all, I don't honestly need to worry about going there - it doesn't exist.

The original terminology is 'The wages of sin is death' (not hell - the original hebrew term was golgotha or some such which just means dead).

And as to being glib, it comes down to this - if there is a higher being and he/she/it is as petty as you describe, I would want nothing whatsoever to do with him/her/it.

I'll just live my life as best I can and try and do good where and when I can. If there is a hereafter and that ain't good enough, then I wouldn't want to be there anyway as I'd find it insufferably stuffy and pretentious.
