Re: Oh boy. soilent brad Send a noteboard - 02/12/2009 08:38:17 PM
vegetation is more or less climate neutral, at least when it comes to CO&2082; - so I doubt a banning of that would do any real good.

Very good point.

Well. We have been drastically changing the amount of greenhouse gasses in the atmosphere. Now, to believe it does not have any effect is rather naïve. To compare it to something I know a little tiny bit about... a cloud... it takes roughly 4 atomic layers of the not so dense density of the clouds to reflect 70% of the heat back down to the earth... I am uncertain to what extent one can compare the (other) greenhouse gasses to water vapour, but the fact is that as insulators, they are damn good, and they are not quite as impressive at blocking radiated energy. So yes, I am fairly convinced that carbon dioxide is a player in this climate change drill. However, the system is incredibly complex, and local temperatures are not quite as useful to use statistical models on... let's just say that I am convinced that there is a man made effect in this, the size of which is impossible to determine, as we know the momentum. :D

Nifty.

Nope, sorry. I like my tea warm.

Very good as well.
