and get something so sweet it would make Wonka do a double take? That is Southern Sweet Tea. I call it that because it seems to occur heavily at eateries in the South.
I've ordered tea, and used the sugar at the table. It's never occurred to me before to ask for pre-sweetened tea. Especially since every restaurant just gives you a small kettle of hot water and a tea bag.
But now that I'm writing this, I'm starting to think you're talking about iced tea, which is a different animal altogether. We just get crappy fountain Nestea or Lipton Brisk, which is basically just asking for brown water with a slice of lemon on the glass
