Nope. LaTeX has in itself no spellcheck afaik, so it is likely that it is whatever shell you are using providing this... and it is not certain that they are happy about changing languages?
Ah, well.
It is probably TeXshop or whatever, then.
Evil American Cultural Imperialism wins this battle. But not the war.
Apparently, a quick googling told me that texshop uses your OS X spellchecker. That should be possible to change easily.
I should probably put my man on it. I don't know how he would react if he knew I was going to other men with my tech issues. Or my TeX issues, for that matter.
